Styling tips for office outfits in summer : Serious and airy? With the thought of the office and summer heat, one or the other automatically gets very hot. If you are not blessed with air conditioning in the office and still have to or want to be dressed smartly, you do not necessarily have to show a lot of skin to stay cool at high temperatures. There are quite a few office outfits in the heat! I’ll tell you my favorites here today 🙂 Here are 6 styling tips for pretty office outfits in summer.
Linen office outfits
If there’s one material that’s perfect for summer office outfits, it’s linen. The fabric has been making a comeback since last summer and is no longer posh or stuffy, but really cool! The best? Linen is breathable and cool. So you can even wear long-sleeved linen blouses at 30 degrees plus and still won’t break a sweat. The ideal companion for the office!
A classic for office looks in the heat: the shirt dress
The blouse dress is a classic in summer and ideal for an office outfit in the heat. Shirt dress seem to be made for it and you can really be seen with this dress at every job. Blouse dresses are usually characterized by a cotton fabric and the cut and silhouette of a blouse or shirt. Nothing is snug, but the dress still looks feminine and is particularly serious due to its cut. They are available with volume, with details, with pinstripes or plain. This garment belongs to an office classic in summer!
Jane Skirt and Camilla Blouse
The idea for our Banú label was to create new favorite pieces that can be worn in many different ways. Our Camilla blouse (to be bought here) and the Jane Skirt (to be bought here ) can also be worn as an office outfit in the heat. We worked with the sustainable material “Tencel” for both parts. The blouse and midi skirt not only feel smooth and soft, the advantage is that fabrics made from Tencel are breathable and even regulate sweat better than cotton.I tested it myself at 35 degrees during our launch party and can say: hats off! For both pieces, we opted for a warm cream tone that fits all year round and is also a fashion classic in the office 🙂
Summer shoes for the office
Of course, when it comes to matching office outfits in summer, you can’t avoid the question of the right shoes. Anyone who runs a lot in the job or runs from meeting to meeting knows it for sure: the feet swell. So blisters are usually pre-programmed and nothing is more annoying than walking around in too tight shoes with pain in summer. My tip: never run in new shoes in the midsummer in the office!Loafers made from butter-soft leather, on the other hand, are flexible and give in flexibly. They also look elegant – even with clothes. Pretty sandals also work in jobs where open shoes are allowed. With the matching nail polish to the office outfit, a beautiful look is created 🙂 For important appointments, where you want to cheat a few centimeters larger, simple sandals are a good choice.
Elegant pleated blind for the job
Pleated means pleated fabric and can be used for all pieces. Whether as a skirt, dress or blouse – pleated always looks elegant. That is exactly why it is so well suited for the job. Midi pleated skirts are made for office outfits in the heat. They flow softly and are airy, so that enough air can reach the legs. Cut over the knee, they also hide enough skin . I would combine a nice top or a playful ruffle blouse with a pleated midi skirt 🙂
Loose pants and culottes for cool legs
In some jobs, the office outfit has to be classic and very serious in hot weather. That works, for example, with one of my favorite pieces in the closet: the culotte. At BANÚ, too, with our Cara Pants we took culottes (to be bought here) into our first collection. Wide pants such as paperbag trousers, culottes or wide suit pants allow enough air to the legs so that you don’t sweat. The fabrics are therefore not tight, but flutter around the legs. In addition, loose trousers are the perfect office companion, because in combination with blouses there is always a cool but chic office style.
