Combine Summer Trends 2020 With Basics

Summer styling challenge: how to combine trends with classics, My closet consists of two parts: I like to combine basics and high-quality classics into current fashion trends. My classic equipment includes, for example, T-shirts, blouses, shirts, blazers and jeans in neutral tones. Every season there are isolated fashion trends that I always wear and style with the basics to new looks. How can you implement the Styling Challenge Basic meets Trend this summer? These are my styling ideas πŸ™‚

1st trend: Bermuda shorts

This summer Bermuda shorts will find their way back into our closet. They are cut slightly flared, which ensures nice long legs and provided with great prints. This makes the shorts perfect everyday trousers that can be styled even more summery with accessories .

Basic: shirt

In addition, a piece can be styled particularly cool and I am sure that you all have it in the closet πŸ™‚ A classic white shirt! The following applies: the larger the better. The shirt looks β€œdressed” with Bermuda shorts and makes the summer look more elegant. For the Styling Challenge I leave the bottom 2-3 buttons open and tie the ends into a knot.

2nd trend: dress with Leo print

Flower prints and leo prints are among the most important patterns that adorn various pieces in summer 2020. The animal print is perfect for a special dress with a wow factor. In order to create the styling challenge that the dress does not look “trashy”, I combine the leo dress with an absolute summer classic: espadrilles.

Basic: espadrilles

The casual summer shoes with the braided sole always have something of vacation, are cheap and still modern. The leo dress is a little “pressed down” with the relaxed slippers, which means it can be worn on the beach or in the city!

3rd trend: voluminous summer dresses

Kaftan dresses are the trend this summer. Voluminous puff sleeves, wide cuts and ruffles stand for the relaxed summer look that we all need now πŸ™‚ For a look like in Scandinavia, the floral maxi dresses and kaftans are simply combined with sneakers. So the look looks cooler and not so feminine anymore.

Basic: sneakers

And I am sure you will also find a pair in white with you. The summer sneakers go with any dress and are particularly suitable for a beautiful city look. Earrings give the outfit of the Styling Challenge its final touch.

4. Trend: set in lilac

A trend color without which nothing works in summer? Lilac! No matter whether clothes, shirts, blouses or skirts – everything is immersed in the gentle purple. The best thing is that the color really suits everyone and doesn’t look as sweet as classic pink. Another fashion trend in summer is twin sets, which consist of the same fabric, color or print. That makes the outfit much more harmonious and elegant.

Basic: straw bag

To make the look suitable for summer, I combine a straw bag. The bags have been indispensable for several years and you definitely have a bag made of straw or bast πŸ™‚ They not only match lilac in color, but give looks a pinch of holiday feeling.
