Guide To Planning Outift For Your Wedding Event

Wedding day is one of the most important day of our lives and it is very important to look perfect on the big day of your life. Choosing one perfect dress out of thousand for that special day is a task. Keeping in mind indian weddings have more than just one outifit to decide as there are many other events before and after the wedding. Everything starting from budget to tradition to regional influence comes into play while choosing an outfit. A bride should always look towards her personal style to guide her.

Some might like heavy lehenga with embroidery whereas others may prefer simple lehenga with minimal makeup, it completely depends on the bride and her comfort but what one should never forget is the theme/mood of your wedding, you wouldn’t want to wear a floral summery gown in a ballroom setting. And ofcourse you want your wedding look to be different from others, but how do you do it with so many ideas running in your mind. Worry no more, we have done the research for you just in time.

Haldi

Since haldi is a day time event and also requires a lot of movement opt for something comfortable, simple and beautiful. Go for a loose fitted kurta or churidar where you can just roll-up your sleeves and if you want to accessorize then add a pair of large statement earrings. As it is a day time event go for colors like bright yellow, saffron, light blue and white.

Mehandi

Mehendi is the most happening and fulfilled function and choosing the right outift is equally integral. Since you will be sitting for a long time opt for something like a palazzo, skirt, sleeveless kurta or top for obvious reasons or something you’re comfortable in. Keeping in mind the liveliness of the event go for colors like orange, pink, green or even red, you can also opt for multicoloured outfits or color schemed outfits. Keep the makeup and jewellery minimal as the highlight of the event should be your mehendi and your beautiful outfit complimenting your mehendi.

Sangeet

Sangeet is one of the most fun events and I would suggest you to play around a little with your outfit, starting from crop top with embroidered palazzo or dhoti pants or a pre-draped saree with a belt or a lehengawith jacket to give a retro look. If you want to look dressy and yet be comfortable than opt for Cape gowns, Cape gown are a vintage style and looks fabulous. Chikankarimukaishand mirror work is a good option for embellished. In case you don’t want to wear a solid color go for printed lehenga or colors like aqua blue, ivory or jewelled tones like emerald.

Wedding- the big day

The big day has finally arrived and like most of the brides, the thought of wearing red must have crossed your mind at least once and why not. Red bridal lehengas are an indisputable classic for wedding ceremonies. But according to me dull gold, dusty pink and bottle green are the colors just perfect for the pheras other than red.As red is said to be the color of wedding and has a tradition, every indian bride should opt for at least one red outifit. In case you don’t want the outfit to be too bright and heavy, you can go for chikankari embroidery on pastel colors.

Reception

You might be done and dusted with the Indian outfits so now it’s time to give a western twist. Choose a gown or a lehenga with a modern twist like a mermaid style skirt or a slit skirt. Or in case you love indian wear and would like to continue with the theme then go for a 6 yard staple for an elegant look.
