The Shoe Trends Are Particularly Evident In The Form Of Boots

The summer is finally over and slowly but slowly the warmer clothes have to be taken out of the closet. In addition to jackets and coats, the right footwear should not be missing. For this reason, I will show you the current shoe trends for autumn (the rest of the trends will follow, of course!) 2020. The 2020 shoe trends are particularly evident in the form of boots and with a lot of attention to detail! Which shoe model do you want to have in your closet?

Shoe trend 1: lace-up boots

Wind and weather have no chance with these shoes. Robust lace-up shoes are therefore the perfect companion for autumn and winter. This season, in addition to the tried and tested classics from Timberland or Dr.Martens, there are a lot of playful and detailed models plus lace-up boots with an extra high shaft. The new eye-catchers on our feet have distinctive buckles, coarse soles, eye-catching metal details or have elaborate embroidery.

The preferred color is black, but muted colors can also be found. Lace-up boots are best combined with boyfriend jeans (you can find a nice overview of the most important jeans models here in my pants guide), a cozy cashmere sweater and a trendy pilot-style lambskin jacket. But they can also be wonderfully worn as a style break element with autumn midi skirts.

Shoe trend 2: eye-catching ankle boots

The boot trends for autumn 2020 also include the ankle boot – this season with even more eye-catching details. The absolute favorite is still the version in velvet or patent leather. Currently they are also available with gemstones, metal details, patches, with bows or in fabric variants. Not to forget the elaborately designed paragraphs. In order to let the ankle boots appear on the styling stage, it is recommended to combine them with a simple outfit. This is how they come into their own and the look looks stylish and not overloaded. Flat models are also absolute must-haves. So there is something for everyone 🙂

Shoe trend 3: sock boots

Sock plus boot results in sock boot – and it is THE trend shoe for 2017. The combination of shoes and socks was particularly strongly represented on the catwalk of the Vetements label and has meanwhile found its way into all major fashion stores. The extravagant, preferably pointed shoe variant consists of ankle boots with heels and a medium-high to over the knee shaft that extends over the ankles. The tight fit of the trend shoe conjures up a slim leg and is versatile to style. Since the elastic sock boots particularly emphasize the ankle, this should remain “free” and visible. Current trend pieces such as midi skirts, cropped jeans or short dresses are particularly suitable for this. The heels vary from kitten heels to block heels, but there are also sock boots sneakers.

Shoe trend 4: overknees

Overknees can be found on our shoe rack again this season. The permanent trend worth seeing is available today in the form of a sock boot, but also combined with the trend slouchy boots. The special? The boots, which were popular in the 80s in particular, have an (intentionally) slipping shaft that wrinkles. This shoe variant can now also be found as an overknee. The most beautiful thing to wear is the shoe that reaches over the knee with a sweater dress, mini skirts or dresses as well as trench coats with extra length. If the classic version with heels – from high heels to block heels – is too noticeable, you can also use the beautiful models with flat heels.

Shoe trend 5: Sneakers with an eye for detail

No matter whether in classic white, colorful or velvet: sneakers are more popular than ever . For the current autumn / winter collection, they have received an upgrade from numerous designers and now surprise us with a variety of fine materials as well as complex and eye-catching applications. First of all, fur elements that can be found on the inside and outside of the shoe or velvet sneakers. The sole of the trendy shoe models is also the focus of attention. It is very distinctive and a little thicker than usual. This not only ensures a cool, casual appearance, but also protects us from wet feet!

Shoe trend 6: rough booties

For two years now, the Balenciaga Cut Out Boots have been at the top of my favorite shoes list. Although my wardrobe is rather light and less rocky, these rough boots are the perfect contrast and just always go. Whether with a dress, jeans, skirt or trousers – the booties are always an eye-catcher . There are many great models again this season. I picked out my favorites from the shops below 🙂

Shoe trend 7: statement boots & ankle boots

Fall and winter shoes always look boring? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! The shoe manufacturers have recognized that our feet should look good even in the cold season. The result? Statement boots and ankle boots in bright colors, special designs or materials . If you rely on a model with cut outs, you can wear colored or fishnet stockings as an extra statement. Details such as velvet laces, fur elements or sequins are also very popular.
